어스름한 방에서 시작된 빛의 움직임은 시간과 공간 사이의 스크린을 통과한다. 극장은 스스로 불꽃놀이를 펼치고, 필름은 끊임없이 변화하는 빛의 색을 기록한다. 지구상의 모든 영화관이 문을 닫았을 때, 여자의 눈에서 상상 속의 극장이 환영으로 떠오른다.

The movement of light that had started in a dim room passes through a screen between time and space. The theater puts up fireworks by itself, and the film records the ever-changing colors of the light. When all the cinemas on the planet became like ghost palaces, an imaginary cinema rose from a woman's eyes as a vision.

• Bio

한국에서 태어나 필리핀에서 자랐다. 한국예술종합학교 영상원 영화과와 캘리포니아 예술학교 필름/비디오 MFA 과정을 졸업한 후, 전주국제영화제와 서울국제실험영화페스티벌, 샌디에이고언더그라운드필름페스티벌을 비롯한 다수의 영화제 및 전시 공간에서 작품을 상영했다. 현재 실험영화에서부터 상업영상까지 다양한 작업을 하는 스튜디오 ‘루미너스 플럭스’를 운영하고 있다.

Born in South Korea and raised in the Philippines, Onyou Oh is a filmmaker whose works vary from abstract, experimental pieces to poetic, narrative shorts. She received her MFA in Film/Video from the California Institute of the Arts. Her films have been invited to and screened at various film festivals, including Jeonju International Film Festival, EXiS: Experimental Film & Video Festival in Seoul, and San Diego Underground Film Festival. She currently creates eclectic visual imagery from her independent studio, Luminous Flux.
