During the leadership of President Soeharto (1966-1998) under the New Order government, Indonesian Cinema brought forth important names that are still being discussed until now. It was a period in which censorship operated firmly to regulating and maintaining the narrative that may or may not appear on the screen. That was an era when the opposition could only be represented through the perspective of the New Order regime itself, to conserve a danger of latent–a spectral enemy. However, can cinema represent the faith of its own era? Can cinema speak about what should not be expressed or has not been expressed?

Mostly the preordination of these films spread wildly in cyberspace, travelled through one duplicate to another. This film is about examination and at the same time giving new contexts and interpretations in the films whose quality are now increasingly blurry and faded, affected by the algorithm of inter-device migration, which their condition continues to be degraded by the times and increasingly difficult to trace.

신 질서 정권 아래에서 수하르토 대통령 집권기(1966-1998) 동안, 인도네시아 영화계는 지금까지도 회자되고 있는 중요한 이름들을 배출시켰다. 그 시기는 스크린에 걸리느냐 마느냐를 조절하고 유지하기 위한 확고한 검열이 운영되던 시기였으며 잠재적인 적의 위험을 통제하기 위해 신 질서 정권 자체의 관점을 통해서만 반대파를 대표될 수 있었다. 그러나, 영화계가 그 시대의 신념을 대표할 수 있을까? 영화계가 표현되면 안되거나 표현되지 않은 것에 대해 말할 수 있을까?

대부분의 이런 영화들은 폭넓게 사이버 공간에 퍼져있는데 복사물 하나가 다른 복사물로 이동한다. 이런 영화는 품질이 점진적으로 흐려지고 퇴색되어가고 시간이 지남에 따라 기기간 이동 알고리즘의 영향을 받아 상태가 계속 악화되고 있는데 이는 추적이 점점 더 어려워지고 있는 상황에 대한 검토이자 동시에 영화계의 새로운 맥락과 해석을 주는 것이다.

Milisifilem Collective

MILISIFILEM is a platform formed by Forum Lenteng in September 2017 that specifically explores visual production practices, both technically and in contexts related to current socio-cultural issues. Regularly, MILISIFILEM conducts training on visual basics across disciplines, using a participatory and collaborative approach. Participants explore various possibilities for visual experimentation, as well as building collective discipline in producing visual works. MILISIFILEM specifically involves participants to explore artistic and cultural activism in order to face the challenges of changing times.

밀시시필름 콜렉티브

밀리시필름(MILISIFILEM)은 2017년 9월 포럼 렌텡이 구성한 플랫폼으로, 기술적으로나 현재의 사회-문화 주제와 관련된 맥락에서나 구체적으로 시각적인 제작 관행들을 탐구한다. 밀리시필름은 참여적이며 협력적인 접근 방식으로 여러 분야에 걸쳐 정기적으로 시각적 기초에 대한 교육을 실시한다. 참s가자들은 시각 작품을 제작하며 집단 규율을 구축하는 것뿐만 아니라 시각 실험의 다양한 가능성도 탐구한다. 밀리시필름은 특히 변화하는 시대의 도전을 직면하기 위해 예술적, 문화적 행동주의를 탐구하기 위해 참가자들을 (영화에) 포함시킨다.

Yuki Aditya

Graduated from University of Indonesia majoring Fiscal Administration. He once worked as a Tax Auditor at a Public Accountant in Jakarta. He is now the Festival Director of ARKIPEL and Program Manager of Media Untuk Papua Sehat Forum Lenteng. He act as a producer in several Forum Lenteng film productions, including 6 short films titled "The Black and White Film Project " produced through the Milisifilem Collective program and supported by the Film

Development Center of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. He also had spoken at international forums and film festivals such as the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival (Japan, 2015), ​​the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul, (South Korea, 2015), Images Festival (Canada, 2015) etc.

회계 행정 전공으로 인도네시아 대학 졸업한 그는 한때 자카르타의 한 공인 회계사에서 세무사로 일한 적이 있다. 그는 현재 ARKIPEL의 페스티벌의 디렉터이자 미디어 언툭 파푸아 세하트 포럼 렌텡 (Media Untuk Papua Sehat Forum Lenteng)의 프로그램 매니저다.

그는 밀리시필름 콜렉티브의 프로그램에서 제작하고 인도네시아 공화국 교육 문화부의 영화 개발 센터가 지원하는 "흑백 영화 프로젝트"라는 제목의 단편 영화 6편을 포함하여 여러 포럼 렌탕 영화제작에서 프로듀서로 활동하고 있다. 그는 또한 서울 현대 미술관(한국, 2015), 야마가타 국제 다큐멘터리 영화제(일본, 2015), 이미지 페스티벌(캐나다, 2015) 등 국제 포럼 및 영화제에서 연설 했다.

I Gde Mika

(Mataram, 6 desember 1999) is a cultural worker currently studying at the Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ) majoring cinema studies. He is a member of Forum Lenteng and a participant of the Milisifilem Collective. Actively in collaboration in making films with friends as a cameraman in the film DOLO (2020) directed by Hafiz Rancajale, as realisator with Yuki Aditya in the film The Hypothesis of Wandering Images of Jakarta (2021) and The Myriad of Faces of Future Challengers (2022).

이 그데 미카(I Gde Mika, Mataram, 6 december 1999)는 현재 자카르타 예술 연구소 (IKJ)에서 영화전공 공부를 하는 문화 종사자다. 그는 포럼 렌탕의 회원이며 밀리시필름 콜렉티브 참여자다. 적극적으로 하피즈 랑카잘레가 감독한 영화 DOLO(2020)에서 카메라맨으로 친구들과 영화 만들기에 적극적으로 참여했으며, 영화 “자카르타의 방황하는 이미지의 가설”, (2021)과 “미래 도전자들의 무수한 얼굴들”(2022)에서 유키 아디티아와 함께 현실주의자로 활동하고 있다.
