 이 언어는 1800년대 후반 프랑스 매체 엘렌 스미스(Héléne Smith)가 채널링했다가 수텔라(Sutela)가 목소리를 낸 화성인의 언어에 대한 컴퓨터의 해석과 최근 우주 비행 실험에 따르면 화성에서도 생존할 수 있는 세균인 바실루스 아틸리스 낫토의 움직임에 바탕을 두고 있다. 이 프로젝트에서 기계는 일반적으로 말할 수 없는 모든 메시지를 채널링하는 매체다. 이 작품은 또한 우리 창조물의 외계인으로서 지적인 기계에 관한 것이다.

This language is based on the computer’s interpretation of a Martian tongue from the late 1800s, originally channeled by the French medium Hélène Smith and now voiced by Sutela, as well as the movement of Bacillus subtilis nattō, an extremophilic bacterium which, according to recent spaceflight experimentation, can survive on Mars. In this project, the machine is a medium, channeling messages from entities that usually cannot speak. The work is also about intelligent machines as aliens of our creation.
