<바람 이전의 기록>은 2014년 우산 혁명으로부터 시작되어 2017년 대규모로 확산되었던 홍콩 민주화 시위를  2019년 여름 직전까지 기록하고, 이런 사건을 경유하며 지난 5년간의 홍콩을 관찰한 결과물을 느슨하게 엮은 것이다. 도시 속의 변화하는 풍경과 분위기를 담아낸 일상의 장면은 홍콩에 이어지는 갈등과 그것을 넘어서는 모든 것에 대한 일종의 조용한 전주곡이다.

NOTES BEFORE THE WIND is a loose collection of views of Hong Kong taken in a five-year period, beginning with the Umbrella movement in 2014 and ending right before the summer of 2019 when large-scale social unrest and violent resistance erupted. The everyday scenes captured the ambiance and landscape of change in the city, standing as a quiet prelude to the ensuing conflicts and beyond.
