Description

The space between real and phantasmatic ecological dread. An ambivalent lament for LA’s vanishing palms and a sermon on Doomsday infrastructure delivered to no one. 

현실과 환상 사이의 생태적 공포의 공간. LA에서 사라지는 야자수들에 대한 애잔한 한탄 그리고 아무도 듣지 않는 ‘심판의 날’ 시설에 대한 설교. 

Bio

Sam Drake is a filmmaker currently based in Milwaukee, WI.Her work has been exhibited at film festivals and venues including The Museum of Modern Art, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Media City Film Festival, San Francisco Cinematheque’s CROSSROADS Film Festival, Alternative Film/Video, Collectif Jeune Cinéma, Non-Syntax Experimental Image, and Antimatter [Media Art]. She is currently a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

샘 드레이크는 현재 위스콘신주 밀워키를 기반으로 활동 중인 영화 감독이다. 그녀의 작품은 뉴욕 현대미술관(MoMA), 로테르담 영화제, 미디어 시티 영화제, 샌프란시스코 크로스로드 영화제, 알터너티브 필름/비디오, 콜렉티프 쥬냐느 시네마, 논-신텍스트 실험 이미지 영화제, 앤티매터 미디어 아트 등 여러 영화제와 전시장에서 소개되었다. 그녀는 현재 위스콘신 밀워키 대학교에서 강사로도 활동하고 있다.
