Description

A man, a woman and their young daughter live together in an apartment in the Basque Country. Domestic chores and everyday gestures are superimposed onto lush, green landscapes. The filmmakers and their stand-ins reinterpret fragments of a diary. Music fills the house while children's drawings come to life. Combining quiet observation and moments of fantasy, 'In a Nearby Field' is a film about support, heredity and the invisible little labors which sustain us.

바스크 지방의 한 아파트에서 한 남자, 한 여자, 그리고 어린 딸이 함께 살고 있습니다. 가정의 일상적인 일과 일상적인 제스처는 푸른 초원 풍경 위에 겹쳐집니다. 영화제작자들과 그들의 대리인들은 일기의 조각들을 재해석합니다. 음악이 집안을 가득 채우고 아이들의 그림이 생생하게 살아납니다. 고요한 관찰과 환상의 순간을 결합한 '가까운 들판에서'는 우리를 지탱하는 지지, 유전, 그리고 보이지 않는 소소한 노동에 관한 영화입니다.

Bio

Laida Lertxundi is an artist and filmmaker who lives and works between the USA and the Basque Country. Combining conceptual rigor with sensual pleasure in a process she calls Landscape Plus, her films establish parallels between landscape and the body as centers of pleasure and experience. She’s a professor at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon and at Universidad del País Vasco.

Her work has been exhibited at the High Line Art, New York (2023 forthcoming), Whitney Biennial, New York, (2012), Hammer Museum (2026), LIAF Biennial (2013), Biennale de Lyon (2013), Frieze Projects New York (2014) and in museums and galleries such as MoMA in New York (2022, 2017), Tate Modern, London (2016), Whitechapel Gallery, London (2015), Angela Mewes, Berlin (2020), Joan, Los Angeles (2017), Cibrían, San Sebastián (2021), ARKO Art Center, Seoul (2022), McEvoy Arts Foundation, San Francisco (2021), Human Resources Los Angeles (2019), MAK Schindler House (2013), ICA, London (2013), Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín , Colombia (2015), CCCB (2017, 2013, 2021, 20122), PS1 MoMA (2013), Museum of Contemporary Photography Chicago (2013), Baltimore Museum of Art (2013), Kunstverein Hamburg (2014) and the Havana Biennial (2015) among others.

She has had solo exhibitions at Artspace Aotearoa, New Zealand (2023 forthcoming), La Taller, Bilbao (2022), Nogueras Blanchard (2021), Matadero Madrid (2019), LUX London (2018), Tramway Glasgow (2018), FuturDome Milano (2019), fluent Santander (2017), Tabakalera San Sebastián (2017), DA2 Salamanca (2015), Azkuna Zentroa Bilbao, (2014), Vdrome London (2014) and Marta Cervera, (2013). Her films have been screened at numerous festivals such as Locarno, New York Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, London Film Festival, BFI, TIFF Toronto, Gijón, San Sebastián or Edinburgh among others.

라이다 레르트순디는 미국과 스페인 바스크 지역에서 생활 및 활동하는 예술가이자 영화감독이다. 그녀의 영화는 자신이 ‘랜드스케이프 플러스’라고 부르는 작업 과정에서 개념의 엄격함과 감각적 쾌락을 결합하여, 즐거움과 경험의 중심으로서 풍경과 신체 사이의 평행선을 확립한다. 그녀는 리옹 국립 미술학교와 바스크 나라 대학교에서 교수직을 맡고 있다.

그녀의 작품은 뉴욕의 High Line Art(2023), 휘트니 비엔날레(뉴욕, 2012), 해머 미술관(2026), LIAF 비엔날레(2013), 리옹 비엔날레(2013), 프리즈 프로젝트 뉴욕(2014), 그리고 뉴욕의 모마(2022, 2017)와 같은 미술관 및 갤러리를 포함한 수많은 곳에 전시됐다.
