Description

A film about how we are haunted by, and in turn haunt our ancestors, and a family who cannot agree on how to tell their own story. A chase in three movements in pursuit of a white snake, a red duchess and a golden boy, spanning eight centuries and starting in a cave.

우리가 조상들에게 어떻게 괴롭힘을 당하고, 다시 그들을 괴롭히는지에 대한, 그리고 자신의 이야기를 어떻게 해야 할지 의견이 일치하지 않는 가족에 대한 영화. 동굴에서 시작하는 하얀 뱀, 붉은 공작부인, 황금 소년을 쫓는 3악장의 추격전으로, 8세기에 걸쳐 이어진다.

Bio

GF Ramsay (b. 1988, Dundee, Scotland) is an artist working with poetry, ritual and ana-logue filmmaking. In 2017 & 2018 he burned hundreds of people's regrets inside volcanoes across Eurasia. His fake epic poem Raven's Reprise (2020) tells of a trickster raven traveling through the pandemic and remaking the world to her better designs. His short film CASTOROCENE (2021) sees beavers re-build the world after humans have destroyed it. Medium length film Family Fugue (2022) is about how we are haunted by, and in turn haunt our ancestors. He is currently making plans to have his body thrown into a volcano after he dies. His work has been presented at Art Basel (CH), Barbican (UK), Beijing People's Art Theatre (CN), BFI Southbank (UK), Camden Arts Centre (UK), Matadero (SP), Meyerhold Centre (RU), Mubi.com, NTS Radio, L’Orto Botanico di Roma (IT), LUX Scotland (SC), Rupert Residency (LT) and in 2023 he was shortlisted for the Margaret Tait Award.

조지 핀레이 램지(b. 1988, 던디, 스코틀랜드)는 시, 의식, 아날로그 영화 작업을 하는 아티스트다. 2017년과 2018년에 그는 유라시아 전역의 화산 내부에서 수백 명의 사람들의 후회를 불태웠다. 그의 허구 서사시 ‘까마귀의 복수’(2020)는 사기꾼 까마귀가 유행병을 뚫고 세상을 더 나은 방법으로 재구성하는 이야기를 들려준다. 그의 단편 영화 ‘카스트로서’(2021)은 인간이 세상을 파괴한 후 비버가 세상을 재건하는 이야기이다. 중편 영화 ‹가족 푸가›(2022)는 우리가 조상들에게 어떻게 괴롭힘을 당하고, 다시 그들을 괴롭히는지에 관한 영화다. 그는 현재 사망 후 시신을 화산에 던질 계획을 준비하고 있다. 그의 작품은 Art Basel(CH), Barbican(영국), Beijing People's Art Theatre(CN), BFI Southbank(영국), Camden Arts Center(영국), Matadero(SP), Meyerhold Center(RU), Mubi에서 발표되었다. NTS 라디오, L'Orto Botanico di Roma(IT), LUX Scotland(SC), Rupert Residency(LT) 그리고 2023년에는 Margaret Tait Award 후보에 올랐다.
