인디 비주얼은 왕성하게 활동하고 있는 동시대 작가의 작품세계를 조명하는 기획이다. 올해에는 태국의 아피찻퐁 위라세타쿤, 독일의 우테 오란드가 내한한다. 아피찻퐁 위라세타쿤은 쉽게 보기 힘든 감독의 단편 작품들을 포함한 주요 단편 작품들을 선보인다. 독일의 대표적인 실험영화 감독인 우테 오란드는 자신의 대표작을 필름으로 상영한다. 또한 90년대부터 기획자로서 활발히 활동한 감독은 EXiS에서도 세번째 프로그램을 동료 여성 감독들의 주요 작품을 소개하는 섹션으로 준비했다.
Indi-Visual section invites two contemporary artists, Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Ute Aurand presenting their essential body of works in person. Apichatpong Weerasethakul screens major short films, including the director's rarely seen short films. As a key figure in experimental film scene in Berlin, Ute Aurand screens her representative works on film. Also, she has been active as a programmer since the 1990s, and for this program at EXiS, she prepares the third program as a section introducing major works by fellow female directors.
