Description

회전하는 운동성 안에서 이미지가 망각되고 다시 기억으로 복귀하는 동안, 텅 빈 시점은 바라보는 이에게 회귀하고 반복은 해독될 수 없는 차원으로 되돌아 온다.

While images are forgotten and returned to memory in a spinning motility, the empty point of view returns to the viewer and repetition returns to the uninterpretable dimension.

Bio

권희수는 확장된 영화적 시점과 몸의 감각을 통해 전달되는 운동성에 관심을 갖고 시청각 영상 및 퍼포먼스를 통한 복합매체 작업을 만든다. 광학적 미디어 장치의 궤적에 관심을 갖고 제도와 질서의 위계를 재배치하는 경로로서 기계와 몸으로 전이된 감각체계에 주목한다. 선보인 작품으로 라이브퍼포먼스 및 시청각 전시 ‹배경복사반사(Backg roundRadiationReflection›(플랫폼 엘, 2019), ‹코어(CORE)›(윈드밀, 2021), ‹몬순(Monsoon)›(문래예술공장, 2022)이 있으며, ‹셀 스코프(Cell Scope)›(2020), ‹내벽(Membrane)›(2022)등의 영상 작업을 영화제에서 상영했다.

HeeSue Kwon makes mixed media works through audiovisual video and performance with an interest in the extended cinematic perspective and the kinestheticity conveyed through the body's senses. She is interested in the trajectory of optical media devices and focuses on the sensory system transferred to machines and bodies as a pathway to rearrange the hierarchy of institutions and order. Her works include films, live performances and audiovisual exhibitions BackgroundRadiationReflection (Platform L, 2019), CORE (Windmill, 2021), and Monsoon (Munrae Art Factory, 2022), and video works such as Cell Scope (2020) and Membrane (2022) have been screened at film festivals.
