필름으로 도시의 겉모습 탐험하기_Exploring the Skin of the City with Celluloid
셀룰로이드(필름) 아티스트는 공간과 시간의 대안적 만남을 제안한다. 광화학 공정으로 우리는 생생한 세계와 "마찰"하는 물질을 사용한다. 그 결과 각인, 흔적, 우리 몸을 통해 시간 속에서 빛의 움직임을 필터링한 영화, 즉 일인칭 관점의 지도가 탄생한다
이 워크숍에서는 셀룰로이드 영화가 빛, 건축, 몸짓의 단편을 통해 도시 내부의 만남을 어떻게 기록할 수 있는지를 탐구한다. 참가자들은 16mm 카메라와 고 대비 흑백 스톡 필름으로 수작업 공정의 영화를 함께 제작하거나, 주변의 식물들을 "피토그램"과 같은 카메라 없이도 기록할 수 있는 작품을 만들게 될 것이다.
워크숍이 끝나면, 참여자들은 스튜디오, 갤러리, 심지어 공공 공간에서도 그들의 작품을 전시할 것이다. 참가자들은 공간 관점뿐만 아니라 투영과 형태 사이의 교차점을 탐구하기 위해 공동으로 작업하는 것을 권장한다.

7/19(화) : 주요 개념 소개, 예술 및 영화 작품 관리 및 토론. 카메라 리뷰, 테스트 촬영 및 파이토그램 시연.
7/20(수) : 참가자들은 영화 자료를 촬영 및 가공하고, 프리젠테이션용 영화를 준비하고 편집.
7/21(목) : 워크숍 협업 작품 상영 예정.

Exploring the Skin of the City with Celluloid
Celluloid Artist proposes an alternative encounter with space and time. With photochemical processes we employ a material that “rubs” against the living world. The result is an imprint, a trace, a film that filters light moving in time through our bodies to create a map of our first-person perspectives.
This workshop explores how celluloid cinema can document an encounter within the city; through fragments of light, architecture and gesture. Participants will be invited to either create hand-processed films with a 16mm camera and high-contrast black and white film stock, or to create cameraless works such as “phytograms” that can document the flora surrounding them.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the group will exhibit their work in a studio, gallery or even public space. Participants are encouraged to work collaboratively to explore spatial perspective, as well as intersections between projection and form.
Workshop Schedule:
DAY ONE
Introductions of key concepts, viewing and discussion of art and film works. Camera review, test shoot and phytogram demonstration.
DAY TWO
Participants Shoot and Process their film material, prepare and edit films for presentation.
DAY THREE
Exhibition of Collaborative works . Artists will select a location (preferably a studio or gallery) to exhibit their work.
