Description

Nuestras son (Ours they are) takes stones as the axis to talk about a series of issues related to memory, the body and space. To take a stone and keep it is understood as a gesture that seeks to collect a part of reality. An apparently arbitrary gesture that hides a way of understanding our surroundings, of remembering certain movements and incarnated memories. A deposit of sediments that goes beyond its materiality and that intertwines with with other corporal and landscape materialities, that give rise to the exchange and the desire to mark an imprint on everything that accompanies us. Our hands guide us as mediators between the different textures of the landscape and are established as a link between that which can be touched and remembered.

돌을 중심 축으로 삼아 기억, 신체, 공간과 관련된 여러 이슈를 다룬다. 돌을 줍고 간직하는 행위는 현실의 한 조각을 수집하려는 몸짓으로 이해된다. 겉보기에 임의적인 이 제스처는 사실 우리가 주변 세계를 이해하고, 특정한 움직임과 몸에 새겨진 기억을 떠올리는 방식이다. 물질성을 넘어선 퇴적물의 저장소이자, 다른 신체적·지형적 물질성과 얽히며, 교류를 낳고 우리를 둘러싼 모든 것에 흔적을 남기고자 하는 욕망을 불러일으킨다. 우리의 손은 풍경의 다양한 질감 사이를 매개하는 길잡이로, 촉각과 기억을 연결하는 연결 고리가 된다

Bio

Gari Arambarri Arregui (Azkoitia, 1997) is an artist. He holds a degree in Art History (EHU, 2020) and a master’s in Technological and Performative Contemporary Art (EHU, 2020). He has also participated in the study programs JAI (Tabakalera, 2022) and Articulaciones (IVAM, 2024). He has exhibited both individually and collectively at the Biennial of Tarragona (Museu d'Art Noe, 2025), Sala Amadís (Madrid), Sala Rekalde (Bilbao), Fundación BilbaoArte (Bilbao), Sala El Brocense (Cáceres), Centro Cultural Koldo Mitxelena (Donostia), Galería Gachi Prieto (Buenos Aires), Fabrica (Treviso), Art Emergent Sabadell (Sabadell), Intersección International Film Festival of A Coruña… He has received, among others, creation grants from INJUVE and the Basque Government. He has also undertaken residencies at Centro Botín (Santander), Casa d’artistes (Menorca), Bulegoa z/b (Bilbao), Intersección LAB (A Coruña), and other venues.

가리 아람바리 아레기(1997년생, 아스코이티아 출신)는 현대미술 작가이다. 바스크국립대학교(EHU)에서 미술사 학사와 기술·퍼포먼스 기반 현대미술 석사를 취득했으며, 타바칼레라의 JAI(2022), IVAM의 Articulaciones(2024) 등 다양한 연구 프로그램에 참여했다. 그의 작업은 타라고나 비엔날레(Museu d'Art Noe, 2025), Sala Amadís(마드리드), Sala Rekalde(빌바오), Fundación BilbaoArte(빌바오), Galería Gachi Prieto(부에노스아이레스), 인터섹션 국제영화제 등 국내외 기관에서 전시되었다.
