Description

Gritaré sobre tu tumba, it's a hack from hell, a send it all to hell. A howl full of visual and sonorous noise, a video delirium crammed with memes, coltan, pogos, aliens, cyborgs, virgins... that questions the collective hysteria and the existential disarray in which technological slavery, the tyranny of social networks and labor precariousness place us. Disaster takes care of everything.

지옥에서 해킹한 영상이다. 모든 것을 엉망으로 만들어버리는, 시각적·청각적 소음으로 가득한 절규이자, 밈, 콜탄(광물), 포고 댄스, 외계인, 사이보그, 성모 마리아까지 뒤섞인 비디오 광란이다. 이 작품은 집단 히스테리와 기술적 노예화, SNS의 폭정, 불안정 노동이 만들어낸 실존적 혼란을 묻는다. 재난은 모든 것을 삼킨다.

Bio

María Cañas is a cultural agitator, audiovisual creator, and mind pyromaniac. She practices artistic experimentation, appropriationism, and video-guerrilla, infiltrating clichés and prejudices in order to blow them up. And laugh-sistance: humor in all its shades from the connected multitudes, as a strategy of insurgency, or at the very least, resistance. A committed approach centered on the archive and audiovisual detritus as tools for cultural development, and on the need to educate towards the activation and recycling of our imaginaries, so we can become more critical and creative beings. She runs Animalario TV Producciones www.animalario.tv, a creative space devoted to artistic work, mediation, and education, aimed at cultivating the inner fire. Her work is shared online and has been exhibited and awarded at numerous festivals, fairs, events, art centers, museums, self-managed spaces, universities, and galleries both nationally and internationally.

마리아 카냐스는 문화 도발자이자 영상 창작자, 상상력의 방화범이다. 그녀는 예술적 실험, 차용주의, 비디오 게릴라 작업을 통해 고정관념과 편견에 침투하고 이를 해체하는 데 주력한다. ‘웃음-저항(laugh-sistance)’—유쾌함을 전략으로 삼아, 최소한의 저항 혹은 급진적 개입을 시도한다. 아카이브와 시청각 폐기물을 문화적 도구로 삼는 그녀의 작업은, 비판적이고 창의적인 존재로 거듭나기 위한 상상력의 활성화와 재활용의 필요성에 기반한다. 그녀는 예술, 매개, 교육을 아우르는 창작 공간인 Animalario TV 프로덕션을 운영하고 있다. 그녀의 작업은 온라인을 통해 공유되며, 국내외 영화제, 아트페어, 미술관, 자율 공간, 대학, 갤러리 등에서 전시 및 수상한 바 있다.
